“Great music is both technical and expressive, engaging both sides of the brain. Music fills a basic need in human life for beauty and expression. I love music profoundly for its power to bring people together and help us to reconnect positively with ourselves and the world.”

He is best-known for his early minimalist piano pieces, such as the early Gymnopedies, and later character pieces such as his Sports et Divertissiments. On Dec. 3rd, the Western Oregon Symphony premiered a new orchestrated arrangement of mine of three of his short piano works.
